SINOPSE: Senhorita Júlia é talvez mais conhecida como um jogo do que como um filme de Alf Sjöberg, tendo sido realizado em muitas partes do mundo há mais de 100 anos. O jogo original foi escrito em 1888 pelo tão aclamado August Strindberg. A estória se baseia na herança de um rico empresário (Anders Henrikson), que tem de ser afastado de seus negócios. Ao ver da filha, Senhorita Júlia (Anita Björk), havia uma carência por agentes que participam no festival que ela produz anualmente, o "Solstício de verão" (um acontecimento cheio de jogos, bebidas e danças). Durante o festival, Júlia se distrai por Jean (Ulf Palme), um dos agentes. Jean é um jovem e inteligente homem que tem sentimentos de afeto secretos por Júlia desde a sua infância. No entanto, Jean, é contratado para Kristen (Marta Dorff), outro agente que está no comando da cozinha. O que segue não é o esperado triângulo amoroso melodramático, mas uma dolorosa e incômoda estória, além da batalha entre os sexos.
